For years, students from Mkoyo Village travelled approximately 18 kilometers each day to attend secondary school in Hombolo Bwawani. The distance made regular attendance difficult and contributed to many students leaving school before completing Form Four.
The project was created to give children in Mkoyo access to secondary education within their community. By bringing classrooms and learning facilities closer to home, it provides students with a safer and more supportive environment in which to attend school, participate consistently, and pursue their academic ambitions.

Tertiary education shapes young person’s professional direction, personal independence, and ability to contribute to her community. Making the most of that opportunity requires consistent support throughout the years of study.
This initiative was created to help young aspiring students complete that journey with greater stability. By supporting each scholar for the full duration of her course, the programme allows them to concentrate on learning, participate in university life, and make informed choices about the future they want to build.

Philanthropy becomes more effective when organizations learn from one another and coordinate their efforts around common goals. These relationships can bring different perspectives, capabilities, and forms of support to the same social challenge.
The Sanjeev Mansotra Foundation’s partnership with Impact SG reflects this collaborative approach. It connects the Foundation’s work in education, skill development, women’s empowerment, and community support with a wider community of purposeful givers in Singapore and across the region. The partnership’s initial focus includes strengthening access to quality education for underprivileged children in Asia.

The work we do continues because people choose to stand with it. Whether through partnership, support, or collaboration, there are many ways to contribute to what comes next.
